Royals finally beat the Lazers

Coming into this match the Royals, were down a couple players and were facing a team that they have yet to beat, but the motivation of knowing that if they one they could end up in first place. First Period: Lazers score two goals in the period to go up 2-0 Second Period: Right off the opening draw, Jordan storms down the ice and scores a terrific individual effort goal to cut the lead to one. Later Cody gets a pass form Matt and Zach and scores by banking it off the Lazers defence men to tie the game up at 2. Right after that the Lazers are called for roughing and Shane makes them pay by scoring on the power play assisted by Alex and Jordan to give the Royals the a 3-2 lead Third Period: Kyle scores a goal from in the slot assisted by Jordan and Alex to give the Royals a two goal lead, Shortly after Jordan finishes them off by scoring his second on the night assisted by Matt and Zach to clutch a 5-2 victory for the Royals. Key Points: The Royals score five unanswered goals in a near perfect game AFI: absolutely nothing! 3 stars: Jordan, Alex, Brandon

Royals win by default over 7 oaks

7 oaks used illegal players when playing against the Royals and were disqualified. The Royals get a default win of 1-0.

Royals lose tough to Sabers

Sabers won 6-0 enough said

Royals outplay but somehow lose to Lazers

First Period: No score but Royals completely dominated the Lazers Second Period: Lazer four straight goals to go up 4-0 Third Period: with just under three minutes to go Jordan scores after a great pass from Kyle and right on the next faceoff Devan blitzes down and scores, assisted by Trent, to cut the lead 2 but it was not enough to win. Key Points: The Royals had way more shots on goal then the Lazers by far. AFI: Need to capitalize on power play opportunities. 3 stars: Alex, Devan, Blaise

Royals win most important game on the season against Seals

Coming into this game the Royals knew they need to clinch the season series against the Seals if they still wanted a chance to finish first in the league. But the Seals were determined to win because they have yet to beat the Royals this year. First Period: With 7 seconds left in the first Cody top shelf over the Seals goalie assisted by Derrick and Matt to go up 1-0 after one period of play. Second Period: Jordan cuts into the crease and scores on the power play assisted by Blaise to go up 2-0. The Seals do answer back with a goal of there own to cut the Royals lead down to one. Third Period: At 16 seconds in Matt makes a huge effort to keep the puck in the Seals end and send Blaise down on a breakaway that he makes no mistake in putting in the net give the Royals a 3-1 lead. However the Seals score a lucky goal shooting it off a Royals defence men and into the net to cut the Royals lead back down to 1. With six minutes left in the game Derrick destroys any chance of the Seals winning with a great individual effort scoring another goal over the shoulder the goalie, giving the Royals a 4-2 win. Key Points: Everything was working perfectly. 3 stars: Matt, Nick, Derrick

Royals Draw even with Fort Gary

First Period: No goals but great hits and saves for both teams. Second Period: Fort Gary scores two straight but right after Jordan scores a fantastic goal after a great pass from Devan to cut the lead to one. Third Period: Blaise scores on along five minute power play, assisted by Jordan to tie the game up at 2 goals a piece. At just over three minutes to go Fort Gary scores to go up 3-2. The go into desperation mode and Joel score on the most impressive passing play on the year created by himself, Jordan and Blaise to tie the game up at 3-3 with only 11 seconds to go. The game would end tied at 3-3. Key Points: The Royals were able to capitalize on 50% of there power plays. AFI: MORE ENERGY!!!!! 3 Stars: Jordan, Blaise, Matt

Royals lose close game to East Selerik

First Period: Royals get on the board first after a great goal by Jordan assisted by Blaise. Second Period: Shane increases the Royals lead to 2 after a great goal assisted by Devan. However the Royals get into some penalty troubles and give up two power play goals to end the second period tied at two goals a piece. Third Period: The Sabers score another power play goal to go up 3-2 but seconds after Devan scores assisted by Cody to tie the Game up at 3-3. Shortly after the Sabers score there forth power play goal on the game but once again the Royals answer right back with a goal of there own, this time from Zach on the point assisted by Jordan. Unfortunately, the Sabers score with just over a minute left to beat the Royals 5-4. Key Points: generate lots of shots a great breaks. AFI: less penalties and better penalty kill 3 Stars: Cody P., Shane, Zach

Royals Draw even against The Seals

In their first meeting this year the Royals dominate proving why they are in first place and planed to do the same thing but the seal were determined to get back in first with a win. First Period: The Royals get on the board first on the power play for an unlikely source, Connor scores off a great point shot for his first in two years after a great d to d pass from Matt. Second Period: The Seals answer back scoring from in a wide open slot on the power play to tie the game at one goal a piece. Third Period: The Seals score again from the exact same place except this time at even strength to take the. Luckily it was short lived because two minutes later Blaise buries the rebound into the wide open net after the shot from Jordan to tie it up at 2-2. After that it was very even but great goaltending by Brandon saved the Royals as well as great penalty killing to force a final score of 2-2. Key points: The Royals penalty kill limited the Seals to only one power play goal on six attempts. Areas For Improvement: Unfortunately the Royals only scored one power play goal on eight attempts. Three Stars: Connor, Brandon and Matt

Royals Narrowly beat Roblin Park

Already this season the Royals have tied and beaten Roblin Park but both games were very evenly match, however the Royals were determined to prove otherwise. First Period: The Royals open up the scoring after Jordan finishes off a great passing play create by himself, Kyle and Joel, However on the next faceoff Roblin Park gets it back to tie the game. With just over two minutes to go in the first Cody P. puts in the rebound after a point shot from Connor and an assist from Blaise. Second Period: The Royals catch fire scoring four straight goals in the second period and all four goals were scored by four different players, Derrick assisted by Connor and Shane, Blaise assisted by Connor and Cody, Joel assisted by Jordan and Nick and Jordan (Unassisted). Third Period: Royals got a little bit sleepy and let Roblin Park back into the game, letting them score four straight goals! But the Royals were able to regroup and keep their one goal lead till the end of the game winning 6-5. Key points: The Royals have scored six goals twice against Roblin Park Areas For Improvement: Unfortunately they have also given up six goals and five goals in those two games.
